2 Injured Chico Head-on Crash Near Spanish Garden
CHICO (July 27, 2017) – A major traffic collision happened on Skyway near Spanish Garden Drive Thursday afternoon, according to Action News Now.
Initial investigation revealed the crash took place when a westbound Ford Focus failed to negotiate a curve on the highway. Then, it crossed over the median and went into the opposite lanes where it collided with an eastbound Ford Fusion head-on.
The California Highway Patrol said the Focus flipped over and ended up on the westbound side of the Skyway. While the Fusion spun and came to a stop facing the wrong direction on the other side of the road.

Responding medical personnel transported both drivers to hospitals in unknown condition. It appeared that the two were the only occupants of their respective vehicles. Their names were not disclosed.
Investigators spent the afternoon at the location determining what happened and why, but no further information has been released yet.
