At Least 1 Badly Hurt After Collision on SR-99 Tuesday
Chico, CA (April 6, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic accident Tuesday on State Route 99.
Authorities said a semi truck collided with several other vehicles on SR-99 at Keefer Road in Chico. According to the CHP dispatch, four other automobiles were involved in the wreck. However, the make and model of the cars found at the scene remained undisclosed.

Shortly after 3 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and rendered aid to the possible victims. The CHP log mentioned at least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. Paramedics reportedly transported the patient to Enloe Hospital for treatment.
Primary reports indicated the diesel tank of the truck got sheared in the crash. Hazmat team responded to the location to clear approximately 50 gallons of oil spill.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the car and truck accident in Chico happened.
