1 Seriously Injured in Chico Crash on Highway 99 Near Estates Drive
CHICO, CA (November 7, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 99 near Estates Drive in Chico.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place on Sunday evening. According to their report, the wreck happened at about 7:48 p.m.
CHP determined that three vehicles collided in the city of Chico. They crashed for an unknown reason on northbound Highway 99, just south of Estates Drive.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The incident log described two of the cars involved as a Chevrolet and a Honda. One vehicle obtained major front-end damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to the Enloe Medical Center for treatment. Officers did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down near Estates following the wreck. The cause of the Chico crash is still under investigation.
