1 Injured in Chico Car Crash on Northbound Highway 99
CHICO, CA (June 15, 2021) – At least one was injured after a car crash on Highway 99 near Garner Lane in Chico.
According to an article published by the Action News Now, the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 6:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Chico. They crashed in the northbound lanes of Highway 99, south of Garner Lane.
Multiple Vehicles Collide Near Garner Lane
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Chico crash.
