2 Hospitalized After Car Accident on Highway 99 Thursday
Chico, CA (January 14, 2021) – One passenger suffered injuries following a traffic collision on Highway 99 Thursday morning.
The KRCR News reported a vehicle traveling south on the highway crashed into the rear of another car. The accident took place near Hamilton Nord Cana Highway in Chico.
Shortly after 11 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the site. Our sources confirmed two people sustained injuries as a result of the wreck.

The news article published online mentioned one passenger suffered major injuries including a broken bone. An ambulance rushed the victim to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities added a driver sustained minor injuries in the form of cuts and bruises. Paramedics also transported the second victim to a hospital for treatment.
The California Highway Patrol group believed speed contributed to the collision. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the car crash on Highway 99 in Chico.
