Head-on Crash at Cana Highway, Hamilton Nord Cana Highway
CHICO, Calif. (August 19, 2021) — A head-on Chico crash on Cana Highway happened Thursday between two vehicles at Hamilton Nord Cana Highway.
The 11:37 a.m. crash on August 19th left at least one person with moderate injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck towing a trailer and a Kia Forte collided when one vehicle veered into the path of the other at the intersection.

Furthermore, the roadway became blocked completely by the two vehicles. Also, one person’s leg became trapped in their vehicle during the crash.
Paramedics responded and rushed the person by ambulance to a hospital. The patient suffered moderate injuries in the crash. The person’s age and gender is not in the CHP report.
Also, tow trucks removed both of the vehicles due to damage.
Meanwhile, investigators seek to determine liability for the Chico crash on Cana Highway.
