1 Killed, 1 Injured in Chico Crash at East Avenue and Cohasset Road
CHICO, CA (June 6, 2023) – A crash killed at least one person and injured another at East Avenue and Cohasset Road in Chico.
According to an article published by The Oroville Mercury-Register, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:45 p.m.
The incident happened on June 6 when two cars collided for an unknown reason in Chico. The vehicles crashed at the intersection of East Avenue and Cohasset Road.
2 Cars Collide
Both cars obtained severe damage due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced a male individual dead at the scene.
Crews rescued another male occupant who ended up trapped in one of the vehicles involved. Medical personnel rushed him to the Enloe Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police forced the area of East Avenue and Cohasset Road to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Chico crash is still under investigation.
