1 Seriously Injured in Chico Head-On Crash Near Esplanade and Tonea Way
CHICO, CA (April 20, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a head-on crash near Esplanade and Tonea Way in Chico.
According to an article published by the Action News Now, the accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 3:20 p.m.
Police said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason near the intersection of Esplanade and Tonea Way in Chico. The two crashed near the Basque Norte.

A live news coverage of the incident showed that a white Toyota SUV sustained significant damage upon impact. The report described the other car involved as a black Mazda.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found one person suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police forced Esplanade to close in both directions from DeGarmo Park to Sols Mexican Grill following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Chico crash.
