Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 99 Wednesday
Chico, CA (February 26, 2022) – Several people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 99 on February 23, Wednesday.
The Action News Now published an article online reporting multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason on SR-99. Officials mentioned the wreck involved as many as three vehicles. At least two of the cars crashed head-on on the highway just north of Chico, per local news source.
At this time, the make and model of the automobiles found at the accident scene have not been revealed thus far.
3 Hospitalized After Car Accident in Chico, February 23
Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed three or more parties sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Paramedics transported all patients to Enloe Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation.
Police shut down the area for approximately 40 minutes to give way to the investigation process. Detectives continue to determine exactly how and why the crash happened on Highway 99 in Chico.
