FLORENCE, California — A boy identified as Ronald Neal, 5, was killed following a hit-and-run collision at 82nd Street and Towne Avenue Tuesday night, according to an article by Los Angeles CBS.
At about 5:15 p.m. on March 14, the boy reportedly ran into the street directly into the path of a vehicle. Surveillance video released by police showed the suspect vehicle fleeing right after impact.
As per Los Angeles CBS, the young victim was immediately transported to a hospital following the accident but later died.
Meanwhile, police said the suspect vehicle was possibly an older 1990s model faded green Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban with tinted windows and front end damage. The driver is believed to be a 19 to 25 year old man who had a passenger about the same age.
A search operation is ongoing and an ongoing reward for $50,000 is offered by the city council for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Call police at (877) LAPD-247 with information.
