12-Year-Old Child Hurt in Bicycle Accident

VENTURA, Calif. (Dec. 27, 2024) — A child riding a bicycle was injured in a car accident Friday morning on North Ventura Avenue near Baldwin Road in Mira Mesa.

The bicycle accident occurred 11560 N. Ventura Avenue at 10 a.m. on Dec. 27th, in Ventura County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver struck the child due to unknown circumstances. Paramedics from the Ventura County Fire Department responded and found the child conscious and breathing.

An ambulance was at the scene, but it’s unknown if the child was taken to a hospital.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the bicycle accident on Ventura Avenue.
