Juvenile Hospitalized After Crash at Thomas Avenue and Thesta Street
Fresno, CA (November 4, 2022) – A 4-year-old child suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Thomas Avenue and Thesta Street.
The Fresno Bee News reported a vehicle struck a juvenile at the intersection on the outskirts of downtown Fresno. Preliminary investigation revealed the child was in a vehicle with a family. For reasons still unclear, the 4-year-old stepped out of the car and ran into the roadway.
Car Hits Child in Fresno
According to the article published online, a passing motorist saw the child and stepped on their brake to avoid collision. The car came to a complete stop but still hit the juvenile.
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 5:30 p.m. Responding paramedics immediately checked the condition of the child. After the evaluation, medical personnel transported the victim to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Several factors surrounding the collision remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the accident that happened at Thomas Avenue and Thesta Street.
