Fatal 2-Vehicle Collision Near Inland Center Drive
San Bernardino, CA (May 30, 2023) – A child died following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 215 Freeway on May 28, Sunday.
The Fontana Herald News reported two vehicles collided in the northbound side of the freeway near Inland Center Drive. Preliminary investigation revealed a 29-year-old San Bernardino woman was driving a 2000 Honda Odyssey traveling on the San Bernardino highway. According to the article published online, the Honda got involved in a property damage crash north of Inland Center Drive. Officials said the Honda became disabled in the number two lane of the freeway facing a northerly direction.
At approximately 12:17 a.m., an oncoming motorist did not notice the disabled Honda and slammed into the back of the stopped car.
Deadly Car Accident in San Bernardino
Emergency crews later arrived at the scene and found a child passenger in the Honda unconscious. Despite life-saving efforts performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away.
At this time, the conditions of other parties involved in the catastrophic incident have not been discussed thus far.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the fatal crash that happened on Interstate 215 Freeway in San Bernardino.
