Young Victim Struck by Car, Hospitalized
SANTA ROSA, California (April 25, 2016) – According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, a young skateboarder was injured in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Sebastopol Road and West Avenue on Monday night. (map)
CHP first logged the incident when a child on a skateboard as struck by a vehicle at 9:26 p.m.
As per the dispatch, paramedics responded to the scene and transported the patient to the Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital for treatment.
The name of the victim and the extent of the injuries sustained remained unknown.
Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect car was described as a white 2-door.
Authorities are gathering more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
