Girl, 9, Seriously Injured in Thursday Accident on Main Street near 13th Street
RAMONA, San Diego (September 22, 2017) – A 9-year-old girl, and a woman were injured in a traffic collision on Main Street Thursday afternoon, according to San Diego Union-Tribune.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. near 13th Street.
Responding emergency crews found the girl, and the female driver trapped inside a wrecked sedan. Both victims were reportedly extricated before being taken to different hospitals. As per the article, the child was airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. While the woman, apparently between ages 18 to 20, was taken via land ambulance to an unspecified hospital where she was listed in critical condition.

No immediate information was disclosed on the identity and condition of the other motorist involved.
Officials said it appeared the passenger vehicle was broadsided by a minivan. It was not immediately clear how the officials came up with that conclusion. At this time, investigators are still working on determining the precise cause of the crash.
