3 Juveniles, Mother Hospitalized After Rollover Collision Near Kimberlina Road Wednesday
Kern County, CA (September 15, 2021) – Several people, including three children, suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on Highway 99 Wednesday.
The KGET News reported an SUV rolled over the highway near Kimberlina Road. Preliminary investigation revealed a tire separation caused the SUV to leave the traffic lanes and flip over. During the crash, all occupants were ejected onto the roadway. Investigators determined the children were not wearing any safety restraints when the incident took place.
Officials said the accident took place at about 12:15 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found three children–all between 2 to 4-year-old. According to the article published online, a helicopter airlifted a 2-year-old boy to Kern Medical for treatment of moderate injuries.
Authorities added the other to kids, and their mother, the driver, also sustained injuries in the wreck. Ground ambulances transported the three patients to the hospital.
Additional details on the injured parties, and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the major car accident in Kern County.
