CHINO HILLS, California (January 15, 2016) — At least one person was injured Friday morning when two cars collided and one went underneath the back of a school bus in the southbound lanes of the State Route 71 at Pine Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported at 7:22 a.m. this morning. A black car and a white 2015 Ford Focus car collided and the white car ended up underneath the back of the school bus. The Corona Fire Department responded to help the injured. People were walking around in traffic lanes after the crash, but police did not reveal how many were involved and hurt. Paramedics were at the scene to transport the most seriously injured. At least one person was stuck in the white Ford and was airlifted to a Riverside Medical Center.
Police issued a SigAlert as the vehicles were blocking traffic on the southbound side of the Chino Valley Freeway.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and will report on their findings.
