CHINO, California (June 18, 2015) — At least one person suffered major injuries Thursday morning in a crash involving four drivers on the southbound State Route 71 Chino Valley Freeway at Pine Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The vehicles were blocking the two right lanes of the freeway at 7:04 a.m. One man appeared to be passed out in a grey Mitsubishi sedan that was facing the wrong way in the slow lane. Paramedics responded to help those injured including at least one with major injuries. Four tow trucks were sent to retrieve the disabled vehicles.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash to determine liability.
