Major Injury Crash on the Pomona Freeway in Chino, California
CHINO, California (October 7, 2015) — A motorcyclist and a driver in a blue Honda were both injured Wednesday morning in an accident on the eastbound State Route 60 Pomona Freeway, just east of Central Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported about 5:02 a.m. when a witness stopped to assist those involved. CHP officers heard a man moaning in pain and calling out “help me” in the background just before the 911 caller hung up on them. A man in the Honda was hurt as well as the motorcycle rider was down on the left side of the nearby on ramp.
Paramedics responded to help those involved including at least one person with major injuries and Bill and Wags Tow removed the damaged vehicles from the scene.
A full investigation into liability for the accident is underway by police, however, the report may take days or weeks to be completed.
