At roughly 3:30 p.m., Ryan Colwell was riding his motorcycle upon being struck by a Nissan Altima driven by Veronica Jimenez, 42, as she performed a left turn from an apartment complex on to Riverside Drive.
The Ontario teenager struck the passenger side door of Jimenez’s vehicle.
Ryan Colwell was rushed to the trauma center by a medical aircraft, where he sadly passed away from his injuries as surgeons performed surgery on the 19-year-old teenager, per the Daily Bulletin.
Veronica Jimenez sustained minor injuries in the crash but was not taken to a hospital as she was given treatment at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation as liability remains unclear.
