4 Injured in Chiriaco Summit Crash on Interstate 10 Freeway
CHIRIACO SUMMIT, CA (November 27, 2021) – Several were injured after a car crash on the Interstate 10 Freeway in Chiriaco Summit.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:41 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Chiriaco Summit. They crashed on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway near the Summit Road on-ramp.
Children Victims in Wreck
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon found a total of four people hurt. Two victims, described as children, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
The other two, classified as adults, survived with minor injuries. Air ambulances then took the patients to the hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. The cause of the Chiriaco Summit crash is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, officers forced the westbound lanes of the Interstate 10 Freeway to shut down near Summit Road following the wreck.
