Chollas View Hit and Run Crash San Diego 47th and C Street
Man Suffers Broken Leg
SAN DIEGO (June 15, 2017)- According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, a hit-and-run crash left a driver badly injured Thursday morning near the intersection of C Street and 47th Street.
Two pickup trucks were involved in the wreck in which San Diego police officials were called to the scene.
A Chevy Tahoe and a Nissan collided and one of the vehicles careened into a house in the Chollas View neighborhood community district.
Preliminary investigations disclose that the Nissan driver had been traveling southbound on 47th when the driver of the Tahoe turned directly into its path from eastbound C Street.
The report indicated that the Nissan was the vehicle that struck the house and its driver was the victim who suffered what appeared to have been a broken leg.
Meanwhile, the Chevy driver exited their vehicle and fled the scene on foot leaving the Tahoe in the middle of the intersection.
No further details have been released while San Diego PD search for the suspect.

In this particular case, usually leaving the scene of an accident suggests that the motorist has guilt and may have been operating the vehicle while under the influence. Had the driver stayed at the scene and attempted to help the teen, the outcome may have been different. The victim who suffered the broken leg will be entitled to a personal injury lawsuit if he carries the Uninsured Motorists Coverage which covers injuries to you and your passengers if you are hit by an uninsured or hit-and-run driver. A lawsuit may also be pursued against the hit-and-run driver (once located) or owner of the vehicle if the vehicle has insurance coverage.
