Vehicle Slams Into Patrol Car Near Euclid Street
Garden Grove, CA (December 4, 2022) – A California Highway Patrol officer suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on 22 Freeway, the Orange County Register News reported.
Our sources indicated the deputy pulled over on the westbound side of the freeway to help a driver who appeared to be having mechanical issues. Before the deputy managed to step out, an SUV crashed into the patrol vehicle. The collision took place near the Euclid Street exit.
Deputy Hospitalized After Car Accident on 22 Freeway in Garden Grove
Shortly after 8:45 p.m., firefighters worked extensively to extricate the officer trapped in his mangled car. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the injured party, then transported them to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Authorities mentioned two passengers in the SUV appeared unharmed after the incident. Meanwhile, it remained unclear whether the driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital or into police custody.
Further investigation is ongoing on the collision that happened on 22 Freeway in Garden Grove.
