Chrisi Lewis Killed in Colorado River Head-On Boat Crash

DATE OF ACCIDENT: Saturday, September 1st
September 3, 2018 – At least one person was killed, and several others were injured in a boating accident Saturday evening in the Colorado River.
The Mojave County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased as 51-year-old Chrisi Lewis, of Tulare County.
Major Boating Accident Saturday in San Bernardino County
According to KTLA News, a Hallet boat with 10 passengers collided head-on into a Sleek Craft boat with six occupants in the stretch of the river near Topock Gorge and Park Moabi Channel.
Primary reports indicated the crash caused one of the boats to sink while, the other sustained heavy damages.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday, emergency crews arrived at the location and immediately rendered aid to the victims. As per the article, around ten parties were rescued from the wreck.
One unidentified person reportedly suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident, and was airlifted to a Las Vegas-area trauma center. Furthermore, six people sustained moderate injuries in the crash, while the remaining patients were treated for minor injuries.
The names of the patients have not been disclosed thus far.
Authorities added three other boaters–a male and two females–are considered missing following the incident.
