Woman Killed Memorial Day Crash
PERRIS, Calif. (May 28, 2024) — Christanne Banks, 31, of Hemet, was struck and killed on Memorial Day in a pedestrian accident on the Escondido 215 Freeway, just north of Nuevo Road, in Perris.
The deadly crash occurred at about 3 a.m. on May 27th which was Memorial Day, Monday on the southbound Interstate 215, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics responded and confirmed the woman’s death at the scene. She was later identified by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner’s office as Christanne Banks.
Police closed down the southbound lanes of the I-215 Freeway as investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash.
