 Christian Benton Fatal Homeland Pedestrian Accident on Highway 74

HOMELAND, Calif. (Feb. 2, 2023) — Christian Benton, 48, of Homeland, died in a pedestrian accident Wednesday night on State Route Highway 74 at Steinhoff Avenue.

The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner identified the man as the pedestrian who died.

The Homeland man was found laying in the eastbound lane of the roadway about 6:21 p.m. on Feb. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

A driver in a black sedan, possibly a Mercedes Benz, was stopped nearby. Police did not know if this was the vehicle involved or if the person stopped to help.

CAL Fire Riverside sent paramedics to the crash scene, but sadly Christian Benton died at the scene about 6:36 p.m.

Meanwhile, a tow truck responded to remove a vehicle from the scene.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal Homeland pedestrian accident.
