Christian Best, 21, Hit and Killed by Bus at Hesperia and Verde Intersection
VICTORVILLE (May 30, 2018) – On May 24, Thursday, 21-year-old Christian Lee Best was killed after being struck by a bus in the area of Hesperia Road and Verde Street.
According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 8:52 a.m. on Thursday when Best was riding his skateboard westbound along Verde Street. Officials noted that Verde apparently slopes downhill toward the intersection with Hesperia Road.
At the same time, a small medical transport bus was traveling southbound along Hesperia and was pulling forward through the intersection.
For reasons still under investigation, Best crashed into the left rear-end of the bus and was reportedly run over by the rear tires of the vehicle.

Primary reports indicated Best was transported first to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and was transferred to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:38 p.m.
No immediate information was released on the identity and whereabouts of the bus operator involved in the deadly crash.
Officials said the collision is still being investigated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
