Christian Faamaligi Killed in Bicycle Accident on Mission Avenue in Oceanside

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2026) — Christian Anthony Faamaligi, 31, of Oceanside, died early Wednesday after he was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle on Mission Avenue in Oceanside.
The deadly collision, reported around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8th, happened near Ocean Point Road, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner report.
The young man was riding his bicycle along Mission Avenue when the collision occurred; however, the circumstances leading up to it are under investigation.
Paramedics responded and rushed Faamaligi to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Sadly, the Oceanside man did not survive and died at 1:04 a.m. the next morning on Sept. 9th.
The Oceanside Police Department is handling the investigation.
