Christian Nelson, 25, Dead After Car Crash on O’Byrnes Ferry Road Saturday
Copperopolis, CA (April 5, 2021) – On April 3, Christian Nelson died following a traffic collision on O’Byrnes Ferry Road, the Calaveras Enterprise News reported.
Our sources indicated Christian Nelson was driving a gray Ford F250 heading south on O’Byrnes Ferry Road. When the motorist approached the area near Cosmic Court in Copperopolis, the Ford veered to the right side of the roadway. Officials said Christian Nelson, for an unknown reason, allowed the vehicle to travel off the pavement.

The Ford eventually crashed into a power pole along O’Byrnes Ferry Road. The force from the impact caused the vehicle to roll over several times. Official mentioned the driver was ejected during the incident.
Shortly after 2:30 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and attended to Christian Nelson, of Copperopolis. The man sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
Authorities at this time continue to work to determine whether another vehicle played a role in the horrible crash. Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
