The crash took place about 10:15 a.m. this morning. The CHP report stated that a gold or red Dodge Neon collided with the semi-tractor trailer truck and a man was found bleeding inside the vehicle. It appears he died of the impact at the scene. Within minutes of the crash emergency responders called for the coroner and a chaplain.

The crash is under investigation by police to determine liability.

Solano Fatal Crash Investigation

There are many unanswered questions, but police investigators are piecing together evidence to find out what led to this crash. Factors they will consider include whether either vehicle was speeding or violating any traffic laws.  Truck drivers are also bound by separate rules of the road they must follow due to the many hours traveled and the enormous size of their vehicles. A negligent trucker and the company that owns the vehicle may be held liable for a car accident or wrongful death claim.
