At Least 1 Hurt in Collision Near Buena Vista Road
Bakersfield, CA (August 17, 2022) – Christina Collins, a 19-year-old female, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 119.
On Monday, a collision involving a Ford and a Peterbuilt truck took place near Buena Vista Road in Bakersfield. The Taft Midway Driller News reported Collins was a passenger in a Ford traveling south on Buena Vista. Our sources indicated the driver of the Ford stopped as they approached the intersection at Highway 119.
Per local news source, the Ford attempted an eastbound turn at the crossing and ended up driving into the path of an oncoming Peterbuilt truck pulling a trailer. The big rig struck the left side of the Ford.
Emergency crews arrived at the site shortly after 7:30 a.m. Responding paramedics sadly pronounced the Ford driver dead.
Passenger Injured in Bakersfield Car Crash on Highway 119
Meanwhile, the passenger, Christina Collins of Bakersfield, reportedly sustained moderate injuries as a result of the accident. The condition at this time of the victim remained unknown.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly crash that happened on Highway 119 in Bakersfield.
