Vehicle Fatally Hits Woman at Chester and Lincoln Avenue
Oildale, CA (June 29, 2022) – Christina Eileen Walker, a 50-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of North Chester and Lincoln Avenue.
According to KGET News, an SUV struck a woman at the busy intersection in Oildale. The horrible crash took place Monday night.
Earlier reports indicated 55-year-old Richard Wesson was behind the wheel of an SUV heading south on N. Chester Avenue. At about the same time, a woman attempted to walk in a westbound direction across N. Chester Avenue. The article published online mentioned Wesson slowed down but still struck the woman.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Oildale
At approximately 9 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim, but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office later identified the deceased as Christina Eileen Walker, of Bakersfield.
Authorities mentioned the driver of the SUV, Wesson, appeared unharmed after the incident.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the unfortunate event.
