Christine Reed, 72, Killed in San Francisco Hit-and-Run Near 16th and Folsom Streets

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 30, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed Christine Reed near 16th and Folsom streets in San Francisco.

Police identified the 72-year-old San Francisco woman as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred last month on May 28.

The incident happened when a vehicle struck Christine Reed for an unknown reason in San Francisco. The driver hit her near the intersection of 16th and Folsom streets.

Pedestrian Hit by Car

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the elderly pedestrian left lying on the ground. She sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel soon rushed her to a hospital, where she died on June 25. CBS San Francisco and SF Chronicle wrote that the accident took place at around 9:22 p.m.

Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and then fled the area. They are still searching for the hit-and-run driver that fatally injured Christine Reed.
