Christopher Harrison, 66, Killed in Sonora Crash at Mono Way and Highway 108
SONORA, CA (January 14, 2022) – Christopher Harrison was killed after a crash at Mono Way and Highway 108 in Sonora.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 66-year-old Tuolumne man as the motorcyclist in the collision which occurred on Monday.
The incident began when Christopher David Harrison was riding a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle west on Mono Way in Sonora. At the same time, a 2006 Jeep Cherokee was going east.
CHP said Christopher Harrison then made a left turn from Mono Way onto Highway 108. In the process, the two collided in the intersection.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The Union Democrat and My Mother Lode wrote that the accident occurred on January 10. It happened at about 4:36 p.m. at the onramp to the Highway 108 bypass.
Christopher Harrison ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed him to the Adventist Health Sonora, where he died.
Medical personnel took the driver of the car to the same hospital for treatment of minor wounds. Meanwhile, CHP believed that one of the parties involved ran a red light and caused the collision.
The cause of the Sonora crash is still under investigation.
