Motorcyclist Killed in Oakland Crash is Identified as Davis Man
OAKLAND, Calif. (July 30, 2020) — A 50-year-old man identified as Christopher Jones was killed in a collision Wednesday night in a collision on Highway 24 in Oakland.
The crash took place about 11:17 p.m. near the Caldecott Tunnel in the eastbound lanes of Highway 24, just west of Highway 13.
The motorcyclist was riding a Yamaha bike when he reportedly pulled out into traffic and was hit by a Honda Accord. The man was thrown off the bike and into traffic lanes where he died on scene.
The Oakland CHP office is heading up the investigation into the crash to determine fault.
