Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Pomona (60) Freeway Identified
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (May 25, 2022) – Christopher Reyes, 32, of El Monte, died in a Hacienda Heights motorcycle accident early Monday morning on the Pomona (60) Freeway.
The collision occurred about 12:05 a.m. on May 23rd between the motorcycle rider and another motorist.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of the Pomona Freeway at Seventh Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol.
The motorcycle and went down in traffic lanes. He suffered major injuries and died at the scene, police said. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner later identified the victim as Christopher Reyes on its website.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 12:05 a.m. and closed down the HOV, 1, 2 and 3 westbound lanes as well as the Seventh Avenue on-ramp to the eastbound lanes of the Pomona Freeway. Later, they canceled the SigAlert about 2:45 a.m.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Hacienda Heights motorcycle accident.
