Christopher Rodriguezinigo, 19, arrested on drugged driving charges
LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 5, 2018) – Christopher Manuel Rodriguezinigo, 19, has been arrested following a collision that critically injured a 15-year-old pedestrian Tuesday morning in the 700 block of Market Street, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
The crash took place about 7:30 a.m. as Rodriguezinigo headed eastbound in his 2009 Ford Flex and struck the boy. Paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the injured teen boy to a hospital where he is fighting for his life, the report said.
The driver stopped and cooperated with police who discovered the teenage driver was allegedly driving while under the influence of marijuana. The man was arrested and is being held at a Long Beach jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
The Long Beach Police Department is heading up the investigation.

Police are investigating this collision in an effort to determine who is at fault. Typically, under California law, drivers are required to yield the right-of-way to all pedestrians in the roadway. It’s unknown what led to this particular collision and whether or not any criminal charges will be filed.
