Head-on River Road Collision in Santa Rosa
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (April 8, 2019) — Four people were injured when two vehicles collided head-on Monday morning on River Road at Old Trenton Road.
The California Highway Patrol reported the collision was blocking lanes on the Laguna Bridge about 10:59 a.m. The drivers of a white Infiniti SUV and a white Ford sedan were involved.
Gregory Lykken, 62, of Forestville, was driving a white Ford sedan when he allegedly veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into a white Infiniti QX60 occupied by three people.
The Infiniti was driven by Jeanne Young, 53, of Petaluma, who was traveling with her husband, Christopher Young, 55, and William Wade, 63, of Santa Rosa, was in the back seat.
Jeanne Young suffered moderate injuries in the crash. The other driver, Lykken, and her two passengers, Wade and Christopher Young, were all critically injured in the crash.
Paramedics responded to help the injured and both vehicles were towed away. The CHP will assign liability for the crahs.
Meanwhile, other motorists were driving past the collision and CHP officers were concerned a second crash could occur.
