2 Badly Injured After Car Crashes Into Tree on 5 Freeway Near J Street

September 2, 2018 – Two people were injured following a solo-car accident on the Interstate 5 Freeway Sunday morning, according to San Diego Union-Tribune.
At approximately 9:40 a.m. on Sunday, a vehicle crashed for unknown reasons into a tree along the northbound side of the interstate near J Street.

First responders reportedly found two people inside the wrecked car. As per the article, it took about 15 minutes to extricate the two people. Officials said both parties suffered severe medical trauma and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
