Woman Injured in Chula Vista Crash at La Media Road and Palomar Street
CHULA VISTA (March 27, 2018) – A traffic collision left a woman injured in the area of La Media Road and East Palomar Street on Tuesday morning, according to On Scene TV.
The accident was reported at approximately 10:10 a.m.
As per On Scene TV, Chula Vista police said a 16-year-old boy was driving north on La Media Road when he allegedly ran a red light at the intersection. The teen was seen traveling at a high rate of speed at the time.
At the same while, a burgundy colored sedan driven by a woman was headed east on Palomar Street. As she was reportedly almost through the intersection, she collided with the teen.

The speeding vehicle rolled over and slid approximately 60 feet. The car came to a rest on its roof.
Chula Vista Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the teenage boy from the wreckage. He and the woman were both taken Scripps Mercy Hospital with unspecified injuries. Their names and condition were not released.
Meanwhile, the report indicated that the 16-year-old motorist claimed he had the green light but witnesses and a dash camera showed that he did not. The investigation is ongoing.
