1 Seriously Injured in Chula Vista Crash on Southbound Interstate 805
CHULA VISTA, CA (May 12, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the Interstate 805 in Chula Vista.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 9:49 p.m.
A black Chevrolet Silverado and a black sedan collided for an unknown reason in Chula Vista. The two crashed on the southbound Interstate 805 at Main Street.

CHP said a black Mercedes became involved after debris from the first collision hit the car. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.
Medical personnel then found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the slow lane of the off-ramp to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Chula Vista crash.
