2-Vehicle Rollover Crash in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (April 1, 2022) — Two vehicles overturned in a Chula Vista crash on the South Bay Expressway Toll Road on Friday morning near San Miguel Ranch Road.

The collision happened about 8 a.m. on April 1st on the southbound State Route 125, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a red SUV was speeding and or driving recklessly prior to colliding with another vehicle. One of the vehicles overturned onto its roof and the other flipped onto its side, police said.

Both vehicles landed near the center divider of the toll road, just north of San Miguel Ranch Road.

Paramedics responded to the scene to help those injured in the crash, but there are no further details.

Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Chula Vista crash.
