Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man on Interstate 5 Friday
Chula Vista, CA (May 14, 2021) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident on Interstate 5 Freeway Friday morning, the San Diego Union-Tribune News reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle struck an individual in the northbound side of I-5 near E Street. The crash took place just south of State Route 54 in Chula Vista.

Shortly after 2:55 a.m., emergency teams arrived at the location and male party lying in the roadway. Paramedics later sadly pronounced the man dead at the scene. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
The article published online mentioned a red sedan and a black SUV pulled over at the crash site. However, it remained unclear if either vehicle contributed to the fatal collision.
