2 Injured in Chula Vista Crash Near Park Way and Fifth Avenue
CHULA VISTA, CA (January 22, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a DUI crash near Park Way and Fifth Avenue in Chula Vista.
According to an article published by the On Scene TV, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck on January 21 at about 10:44 a.m.
The incident began when an Infiniti was going south on Fifth Avenue, approaching Park Way, in Chula Vista. At the same time, a Ford was traveling east on Park.
Police said the Ford pulled out in front of the Infiniti and then the two collided. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
2 Cars Collide
Medical personnel found two female occupants of the Infiniti hurt as a result of the collision. They took the victims to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police checked and smelled marijuana coming from the Ford.
They soon took the man driving the Ford into custody. Officers forced the area of Park Way and Fifth Avenue to shut down following the wreck.
The Chula Vista crash is still under investigation.
