1 Killed in Collision Near L Street
Chula Vista, CA (May 28, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
On May 28, Sunday, a crash between a man riding a motorcycle and at least one car took place in the southbound side of I-5 near L Street. Authorities mentioned a Nissan Sentra, and multiple other cars stopped near the accident scene. However, it remained unclear whether all vehicles were involved in the collision.
CHP logged the case at about 9:33 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the motorbike down in the roadway. Officials believed the rider and his motorcycle slid across the traffic lanes of the freeway due to the force from the impact.
Deadly Traffic Accident on Interstate 5 in Chula Vista
Responding paramedics said one person suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. Shortly after the incident, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident that happened on Interstate 5 Freeway in Chula Vista.
