Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Chula Vista Crash at 3rd Avenue and Emerson Street
CHULA VISTA (April 12, 2019) – A motorcyclist was critically injured after a traffic collision in the area of Third Avenue and Emerson Street on Friday afternoon.
Police said a motorcycle and a van collided for an unknown reason near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Emerson Street. The accident was reported just after 3 p.m.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the male rider suffering from traumatic injuries to his head and lower extremities.

The motorcyclist was then taken to UC San Diego Health where he was listed in critical condition. His name was not immediately available.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the van stopped following the crash. The motorist was unharmed in the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
