2 Injured in Chula Vista Crash on State Route 905 Near Beyer
CHULA VISTA, CA (October 6, 2022) – A motorcycle and car crash injured two people on State Route 905 in Chula Vista.
According to an article published by The San Diego Union-Tribune, the accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:05 a.m.
The incident happened on October 3 when a red Mazda sedan was going east on State Route 905 near Beyer Boulevard in Chula Vista.
For an unknown reason, the car slammed into the back of a motorcyclist. In the process, the 20-year-old Chula Vista man riding the white Suzuki motorcycle ended up ejected from his bike.
The California Highway Patrol said the rider landed on the hood of the Mazda. The 48-year-old National City woman driving the Mazda then continued forward and hit the rear of a silver Toyota sedan.
Motorcycle and 2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist and a passenger in the Mazda hurt.
The rider sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. The other victim, a 51-year-old woman, survived the incident with minor injuries.
Medical personnel then rushed both patients to the hospital for treatment. The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, the drivers of the Mazda and Toyota ended up hurt following the incident. The cause of the Chula Vista crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the eastbound lanes of the State Route 95 to shut down for an hour and a half after the wreck.
