2-Vehicle Accident on I-805 in Chula Vista
CHULA VISTA, Calif. (April 26, 2023) — A motorcycle and a Freeway Service Patrol vehicle collided Wednesday on the northbound Interstate 805 Freeway in Chula Vista.
UPDATED: The CHP reported the rider later died from his or her injuries.
The two-vehicle collision occurred near Telegraph Canyon Road around 6 a.m. on April 26th, the California Highway Patrol reports. The rider reportedly collided with the FSP vehicle near the HOV and No. 1 lanes.
The motorcyclist was seriously injured and in and out of consciousness at the scene, police said.
Investigators are piecing together what happened and will determine fault for the collision.
