Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Chula Vista Hit-and-Run on Interstate 5
CHULA VISTA, CA (April 29, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash seriously injured a motorcyclist on the Interstate 5 near State Route 54 in Chula Vista.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Thursday evening, Officers reported the wreck at about 6:16 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle and the rider of a Harley-Davidson Sportster collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway, south of State Route 54.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the motorcyclist left suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment of a broken foot. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the three occupants of the car did not render aid to the rider and fled the area. They described their vehicle as a white Toyota Prius and later located them at 880 Broadway.
CHP forced the southbound lanes of the freeway to close following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the Chula Vista hit-and-run crash.
