Teenager Crashes into Trees After Colliding with Vehicle
CHULA VISTA, Calif. (May 24, 2018) — A 17-year-old driver escaped serious injury Wednesday, but his vehicle heavily damaged in a collision at Fenton Street and Kuhn Drive, according to On Scene TV.
The crash took place about 5:28 p.m. at the intersection. The report stated that a woman driving an Audi turned in front of his vehicle and she struck her vehicle. The pickup kept going down the street about 25 yards and then struck some trees. A large tree snapped off and landed on the cab of the truck and then into the street.
The teenager suffered bumps and bruises but was not taken to the hospital. It’s unknown if he suffered any muscular injuries as a result of the collision. The woman and her two young daughters were not injured in the crash.
Police are investigating what caused this crash and ultimately, who is responsible. At this time, based on the facts reported, it appears that the driver of the Audi could be at fault. She reportedly violated the teenager’s right-of-way and may have caused the crash. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, however, oftentimes soft-tissue injuries such as whiplash or back pain will present themselves the following day.
If a negligent driver or another entity is at fault for a collision resulting in injuries to you or a loved one, there may be grounds for a personal injury or wrongful death claim. While this is always a personal decision, for many the financial losses associated with a traffic accident are significant. The losses include time lost off work, medical and funeral expenses, loss of consortium and pain and suffering.
